I had taken the day off from work to take care of some things I had let slide. Work had been slow anyway. With some daylight to burn, I headed over to explore a small nature area I'd driven past dozens of times. I looked at my camera sitting there and said "why not take it". Of course not really expecting to see anything worth shooting. Just minutes into my little hike I hear what turns out to be sticks being banged against trees. As I pass the bangers, I ask them if they are trying to get the attention of squirrels. Turns out that is exactly what they were doing. A few strides later I hear bells behind me. I turn around expecting to see.... I don't know... maybe a dog. Instead I see a hawk. The two ladies I just passed were attempting to teach Aly the red tail hawk how to get her own dinner. Lesson learned... It's nice to keep your camera handy
